Technology Department

The Technology Department's mission is to support the technological needs of the District’s faculty, staff, and students. In doing so, the department manages, maintains, and supports over 1,700 devices including laptops, desktops, projectors, interactive displays, VoIP phones, wireless access points, printers/copiers, servers, switches, cameras, and countless others.

The Five Pillars of the Allegheny Valley School District's Department of Technology

  • Provide excellent and timely support to our faculty, staff, and students
  • Ensure that our classrooms, teachers, and students are equipped with modern technology
  • Embolden our teachers and students to innovate using technology -- thinking critically and purposefully
  • Support an educational culture where technology is a tool for learning – not an outcome
  • Encourage the use of technology for good

The most damaging phrase in the language is

“We’ve always done it this way!”

— Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper

Mr. Sean Stefanko,  Instructional Support Technician

Hello! My name is Sean Stefanko, and I’m excited to be joining the technology team this year. I graduated from John Carroll University in 2022 with a degree in Education and History, where I focused heavily on educational technology and how it can serve as a bridge between the classroom and the many opportunities technology provides. I’m looking forward to working with all of you and supporting our school community in every way I can.
